Sébastien Lecornu wants to build a "France Santé" network to offer everyone healthcare within 30 minutes.

A first promise. During his first visit as Prime Minister, Sébastien Lecornu expressed his desire to create a future "France Santé" network by 2027, during a visit to a hospital in Mâcon in Saône-et-Loire on Saturday, September 13.
This network aims to offer "healthcare services by catchment area, within 30 minutes of your home," he announced.
To fill medical deserts and ensure the implementation of this network, the minister indicates that 5,000 health centers will have to be created and will be designed on the model of "France Services" centers, which offer a local one-stop shop for various administrative procedures.
The creation of this network will be included in the State and Social Security budgets for 2026, the Prime Minister specified, making this the first announcement since his appointment on Tuesday.
Sébastien Lecornu's first task will be to construct and pass through the National Assembly these budgetary texts which caused the fall of the governments of his two predecessors, Michel Barnier and François Bayrou.
"I wanted this trip to address the issue of access to healthcare because it is a major, absolute concern of our fellow citizens," said Sébastien Lecornu, adding that he would make it "a major national priority."
The Prime Minister stated that the issue of access to healthcare could not wait until the 2027 presidential election to be addressed. He added that he would soon be meeting with all the associations representing healthcare professionals at the Ministry of Health.
